Preserving The Past Detail

A busy mother is in process of preparing marmalade in this Victorian kitchen.

The door of the pie safe is slightly ajar displaying the home baked pies prepared that morning.

Previous preserved fruit and vegetables can be seen in the jars on the shelves in the hoosier cabinet . A hedgehog peeks from under the pie safe and being a nocturnal animal , it is nearing the hour for it to seek its dinner/

The kittens are licking the sides of the syrupy pot. Their little paws are feeling very sticky from it.

A new batch of marmalade has been prepared and after sipping her coffee, the busy mother is checking on the kittens at play near the pot.

The daily hand - picked vegetables have yet to be rinsed and packed away into the ice box nearby.

Mama cat has found some time to play with her litter.

In the sink the water from the pump is soaking the syrup in the pot.
